Mayo publican arrested after reopening bar despite govt guidelines with rapid Covid-19 tests upon entry

A MAYO publican has been arrested after opening his pub to local customers yesterday claiming they were not in breach but taking a sensible approach to public health guidelines.
Eileen s Bar in Aghamore, Co Mayo briefly reopened last night, asking locals to take a rapid antigen test at the price of €10 before entering the pub.

Gardai inspected the premises and alleged a number of public health rules had been broken by the owner, Donal Byrne.
After an unsuccessful engagement , Byrne was arrested by garda members.
