Authorities highlight work of Cuban scientific community on its day
Havana, Jan 15 ( Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) on Friday highlighted the work of the scientific community and urged young people to work in a responsible and appropriate way, on the occassion of the national day of that discipline.
Established on January 15, the Day of Cuban Science is inspired in a promisory phrase by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, a year after the triumph of 1959.

Health minister highlights work of Medical Science educators in Cuba
Havana, Dec 22 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Minister of Public Health Jose Angel Portal on Tuesday highlighted the work of Medical Science educators, and the training that the students receive here, based on both humanistic and solidarity principles.
In a congratulatory letter released on Tuesday, Portal noted that the common denominator in each of the healthcare professionals and young students in Cuba has been precisely being the results of the teaching of revolutionary medicine.
In order to cure bodies and heal souls, place patients at the center, touch, look, talk, assess the context in which the disease arises and its determinant, which, in addition, has prevention as the first goal, the minister explained.

Havana, Dec 17 : The coronavirus pandemic has been under control in Cuba since its onset, thanks to comprehensive management, and national production of 85 per cent of the medical therapies and tools needed to deal with the disease, Minister of Public Health Jose Angel Portal said. The trend graphs confirm that the pandemic in our country has been under control throughout the time that has elapsed until today, Xinhua news agency quoted the Minister as saying in a statement on Wednesday.
