COVID-19: Taylor County reports no new cases Saturday, 3 recoveries

The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District on Saturday reported zero new cases of COVID-19, and three additional recoveries.
Active cases total 228 (120 confirmed by polymerase chain reaction tests and 108 by antigen tests), four fewer than reported on Friday.
COVID-19 inpatients at Abilene hospitals total 11, the same number reported Friday. The average age of the patients is 60. Four of the inpatients live outside Taylor County.

Also Friday, the health district reported 13 new cases of COVID-19, as well as 10 recoveries.
Nine of the new cases were confirmed by polymerase chain reaction testing, and four by antigen testing.
Active cases total 232 (121 PCR and 111 antigen), up from 217 on May 1.

Twelve of the new cases were confirmed by polymerase chain reaction testing, with the remainder by antigen testing.
Active cases total 229 (115 PCR and 114 antigen), up from 219 a week ago.
COVID-19 inpatients at Abilene hospitals total 16, two fewer than Wednesday. The average age of the patients is 61, and six live outside Taylor County.

Active cases total 146 (based on 53 polymerase chain reaction tests and 93 antigen tests), one more than was reported on Saturday.
Also Sunday, city health officials reported nine COVID-19 inpatients at Abilene hospitals, the same number as on Saturday. Three of the inpatients live outside of Taylor County.
