MILWAUKEE, March 16, 2021 /PRNewswire/ We Energies and Wisconsin Public Service (WPS), subsidiaries of WEC Energy Group (NYSE: WEC), are advancing plans for a new 325-megawatt (MW) solar and battery storage project. The Darien Solar Energy Center is the company s second proposed large-scale solar and battery project announced this year.
If approved, the $446 million Darien Solar Energy Center would feature 250 MW of solar generation, which is equal to powering 75,000 homes, and 75 MW of battery storage, which can store solar-generated power and provide customers with sunshine after sunset. The project is planned to be built in Rock and Walworth counties, Wisconsin.

MGE Seeks Approval for More Solar and Battery Storage

MADISON, Wis. (BUSINESS WIRE) Mar 16, 2021
Madison Gas and Electric (MGE), in partnership with We Energies and Wisconsin Public Service (WPS), subsidiaries of WEC Energy Group, is seeking approval from the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) to purchase solar energy and battery storage from the Darien Solar Energy Center. If approved, MGE will own 25 megawatts (MW) of solar energy and 7.5 MW of battery storage from the 250-MW solar park to be built in the Town of Bradford in Rock County and the Town of Darien in Walworth County.

PULASKI - Four candidates are running for three seats on the Pulaski Village Board in the April 6 election.
Incumbents Roger Brzeczkowski and Robert Gajewski are on the ballot with newcomers Rich Roth and Howard Zernicke. Village Board member Chris Smith did not seek reelection.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette sent questionnaires to all four candidates and asked them to limit their responses to approximately 100 words. Two of the candidates did not submit photos with their responses.
