Elevated protest action in the battle for 4% Elevated protest action in the battle for 4% Featured Written by  The Grenada Informer (0 votes) A defiant public workers group, including the Grenada Union of Teachers on Wednesday, took their battle for a Government approved 4% salary increase to a different level.  After weeks of protest marches along the streets of St. George and various other parts of the country including the sister isles of Carriacou, the workers on Wednesday decided to wear red, symbolizing the seriousness of their action and an unwillingness to accept a Government-proposed December settlement date, providing there is an improvement in the financial standing of the country.
