Parliament’s Powers and Privileges Committee could not deliberate on the DA’s complaint against an EFF MP.
DA chief whip Natasha Mazzone was scheduled to present her submission on an altercation with, the EFF’s Nazier Paulsen.
The submission could not be dealt with as documents were not distributed among members in time.
Procedural errors prevented Parliament’s Powers and Privileges Committee from dealing with the DA’s complaint against another EFF MP on Friday.
DA chief whip Natasha Mazzone was expected to submit details of an altercation between herself and fellow MP Phumzile van Damme and EFF MP Nazier Paulsen.
Last year, the High Court set aside the Public Protector’s report, which found against the formation of the unit after Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan applied that it be reviewed.
