The Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan has failed to provide adequate
repliesto questions on the South African Airways (SAA) vaccine flight to Brussels in Belgium on the 24th of February 2021. The DA will henceforth be referring Minister Gordhan to the Leader of Government Business in Parliament, Deputy President David Mabuza, so that disciplinary action may be taken against him for impeding the exercise of Parliament’s oversight powers.

Denel Irene exit.
Trade union Solidarity is talking to Denel to assist the beleaguered government-owned defence and technology conglomerate back onto a solid financial footing notwithstanding it having legal approval to attach assets.

NATIONAL NEWS - African National Congress (ANC) national chairperson and former secretary-general Gwede Mantashe on Wednesday admitted to the Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture that the governing party has encouraged individuals to apply for judicial positions.
Resuming with his testimony after lunch, Mantashe told the commission chairperson Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo that the ANC did not interfere in the appointments of judges, but the party did encourage individuals who were qualified for the positions to apply.
This is after the Mineral Resources Minister earlier defended the ANC’s deployment policy, saying the party does not have a “cadre deployment” in his opening statement.
