The House Homeland Security Committee held its first hearings this week on the devastating SolarWinds attack that gave Russian hackers months-long access to critical US government departments. But Senators are now demanding more information about the attacker s infiltration of the US court system, which has already been forced to make changes in how documents are filed as a result of the attack.

GameStop shares are back on their rocket, after millennial trading app Robinhood decided it would, after all, let its customers ride the stock all the way to the moon or to a fiery crash. Alas, for Robinhood, it may already be too late.
“Brokers are now ‘protecting’ customers as a facade so that they can appease their institutional backers,” one individual trader told Bloomberg. “The entire community is outraged….”

As Law&Crime reported earlier on Thursday, lawsuits, at least one of them a class action, were filed against the wildly popular retail brokerage Robinhood over the company’s decision to freeze trading on certain equities favored by the r/WallStreetBets subreddit after several days of intense buying pressure forced multiple hedge funds into billion-dollar losses.
The demand for those court filings might be said to have been commensurate with–or at least somewhat to–the organic demand for the since-frozen stocks themselves.

One of the problems in understanding the U.S. criminal justice system is records are dispersed. Records are kept in many different formats, and not easily searchable or sortable by offense. There are both federal and state crimes. The data is not all digitized. When it is, it is not all in searchable databases available to the public.
