Child dead after Sunday wreck in Denison; 3 more persons injured

A 9-year-old child is dead after a wreck on Sunday afternoon. In a news release issued by the Denison Police Department, three other passengers were injured in the wreck that took place near U.S. Highway 75 and Farm-to-Market road 84 in Denison on Sunday.
The investigation into the wreck is ongoing. On December 13, 2020 at 4:17 p.m., Denison Police Officers responded to a call of a vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 75 near F.M. 84, the release said. During the initial investigation officers were able to determine that the one vehicle involved was being driven northbound on U.S. 75 and for an as of yet undetermined reason, the vehicle left the roadway and entered the highway median, rolled over and landed upright.

The trial started Monday for a Campbell man on multiple indictments alleging he led law enforcement on a high-speed chase before shooting at officers in November of last year.
But after the trial before 196th District Court Judge Andrew Bench began, Dayton Blane Green, 20, chose to enter open pleas of guilty to the three separate charges. An open plea means no plea bargain agreement has been arranged in the case and that Green was subject to the full range of punishment.

JASPER COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Authorities say one person is dead and another is seriously injured after a wreck in Jasper County Wednesday afternoon.
According to a preliminary report at around 4:30 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on County Road 569 in Jasper County about one mile south of Kirbyville.
The preliminary report said that a 2017 Ford pickup truck was traveling northbound on County Road 569 when the driver lost control while traveling at an unsafe speed and went off the roadway and struck a tree.
