Amnesty International France has condemned the arbitrary arrests of dozens of people during a protest against a controversial security bill that would place restrictions on filming French police.

Amnesty International urged France to halt weapons sales to Lebanon, saying French-manufactured rubber bullets, tear gas grenades and launchers had played a shameful role in quelling peaceful demonstrations in the country.
In a report released on Thursday by Amnesty, along with the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Essex, a range of French ammunition from tear gas canisters and pepper sprays to grenade launchers, rubber bullets, and armoured vehicles were used to suppress protests between 2015 and 2020.
