McCarthy, the United States Embassy in Monrovia has clarified that Mr. McCharthy’s letters of credence are valid. Responding to a FrontPageAfrica inquiry, the Embassy’s Public Affairs Officer, Michael Ardaiolo said, “Ambassador McCarthy’s letters of credence is valid.  He is a career official of the U.S. Department of State.  His appointment as U.S. Ambassador to Liberia, confirmed unanimously by the U.S. Senate after the election, is not affected by the change in U.S. administration.”

So far, no one from Indiana has been charged, but that could change. “Like FBI field offices across the country, FBI Indianapolis is receiving tips regarding Hoosiers who may have been at the Capitol building in Washington, DC Jan. 6. Any subjects that are arrested/indicted will be prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office in Washington, DC,” said Christine Bavender, Public Affairs Officer at FBI Indianapolis. The FBI has shared numerous photos of pictures taken from social media posts of people that breached security at the Capitol. On Tuesday afternoon, Steven D’Antuono, the acting director in charge of the Washington D.C. FBI field office, said they have already received more than 100,000 pieces of digital media.

Now, 36 years later – at that same Army depot in Livorno, Italy – the Army Field Support Battalion-Africa deputy support operations officer says his team is responsible for over 3,000 pieces of equipment, to include their serviceability and operational condition. “We’ve grown tremendously,” said Massimo Carpina, who started out as a care and preservation servicer and rose through the ranks to eventually become one of AFSBn-Africa’s senior leaders.
