CAMP H.M. SMITH, HAWAII – The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) declined to participate in the virtual Military Maritime Consultative Agreement (MMCA) Work Group and Flag Officer Plenary session with U.S. Indo-Pacific Command scheduled for Dec. 14-16, 2020.
The United States and People’s Republic of China (PRC) have met regularly since 1998 to conduct the MMCA dialogue as a consultation mechanism to strengthen military maritime safety, to improve operational safety in the air and sea, and reduce risk between our two militaries. The Department of Defense (DoD) and the PLA agreed to hold the 2020 MMCA meeting virtually due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. This exchange is an agreed-upon event in the U.S.-PRC 2020 defense engagement plan.

In order to maximize resources in response to the COVID-19 pandemic across the Southcentral Ohio market, the Chillicothe VA Medical Center will close the acute medical beds, including the COVID care unit. Urgent Care will remain open.
For veterans who need admission for acute medical care or COVID, care will be coordinated with the VA facilities in Dayton, Cincinnati and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, as well as community hospitals.

Over 60 air, naval assets to participate in AFP fleet review
Published December 15, 2020 2:50pm A total of 63 air and naval assets are set to participate in the Fleet Review and Wing Flyby near the coast of Morong, Bataan on Wednesday, the Armed Forces of the Philippines said Tuesday. AFP Public Affairs Office chief Captain Jonathan Zata said BRP Jose Rizal, BRP Ramon Alcaraz, and BRP Emilio Jacinto would lead the fleet followed by the BRP Davao Del Sur, BRP Batak, BRP Abraham Campo, and BRP Ang Pangulo. Zata said on board the BRP Batak would be the Philippine Army s Simba armored personnel carrier and the Philippine Marine Corps V-150.
