Sindh to hold local bodies elections before general elections: CM

July 26, 2021 SUKKUR: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said the local bodies elections in Sindh will be held on the party basis prior to the next general election. Talking to media persons at the residence of Raees Amanullah Shahani in village Ali Hassan Shahani, Bhan Saeedabad, on Sunday, the Sindh chief minister said the LG polls would be held in a way that no one would have any objection. Replying to a question, he said the objections on the census were raised in the Council of Common Interests (CCI), because Sindh’s population had not been listed correctly during the process. To a question regarding Nawaz Sharif’s meeting with Afghan envoy, the chief minister said he did not have any reliable information on the issue while he had heard the news on the media.
