Exertis to adds Fitbit products to consumer portfolio

Exertis has entered a distribution partnership with Fitbit.
The full range of Fitbit products, will be available through the distrobutor and will drive Fitbit into alternative consumer channels, such as corporate wellbeing, salary sacrifice and gift-with-purchase markets.
Fitbit’s diverse line of innovative and popular products include the health smartwatch Fitbit Sense, the Fitbit Versa family of smartwatches, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Inspire 2 and Fitbit Ace 2 activity trackers. The Fitbit platform delivers personalised experiences, insights and guidance through leading software and interactive tools including the paid subscription service Fitbit Premium. Alongside these products and services, Fitbit Health Solutions develops health and wellness solutions designed to help increase employee engagement, improve health outcomes and drive positive results for employers in enhancing employee wellbeing.
Its approval is contingent upon Google s agreement to adhere to several rules over the next decade.

Since announcing its plans in November 2019 to buy Fitbit for $2.1 billion, the deal has been placed under investigation by regulatory bodies worldwide but the European Commission has given the acquisition a green light, after concluding its probe launched in August, according to CNBC.
Its approval is contingent upon Google s agreement to adhere to several rules over the next decade: Google is prohibited from using Fitbit-generated health data to inform advertising for consumers in the European Economic Area (which includes residents of the EU as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway), and Fitbit and Google data must stay separated.
