Xiaomi Mi Band 6 review: The best budget fitness band gets even better

Source: Apoorva Bhardwaj / Android Central Xiaomi makes the best fitness trackers; the brand has dominated this segment over the last six years on the back of its affordable Mi Band series. In fact, Xiaomi is the second-largest wearable manufacturer in the world, second only to Apple. Xiaomi s success is due to the fact that its fitness bands offer the same set of features as Fitbit for a fraction of the price. Last year s Mi Band 5 introduced a large OLED screen and a new charging connector, and for 2021 Xiaomi is rolling out a few upgrades with the Mi Band 6. Honor Band 6 Review: Cheap And Stylish, But Android Phone Owners Should Avoid

Advertisement I had extremely high hopes for the Honor Band 6. This might be the most handsome fitness band I’ve ever worn, with a wider footprint blurring the line looks-wise between tracker and smartwatch. But after three frustrating runs during the testing process, I was told by Honor’s representatives that connected GPS won’t work with Android phones when you start a run from the device. While it’s possible to start a workout from the phone rather than the wearable, this is a work-around that’s far from ideal. Because of stiff competition in the under-£50 bracket, that makes it very difficult to recommend to Android owners, regardless of its many other qualities. However, iPhone owners who don’t want to spend a fortu
