ECC approves renewal of SSGCL-FFBQL gas supply agreement Published On The SSGCL may restore the gas supplies to Fauji Fertilizer till December, 2021 ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet (ECC) Wednesday approved the proposal of Petroleum Division for renewal of gas supply agreement (GAS) between Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (FFBQL). After a detailed discussion, the ECC meeting chaired by Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, approved with a condition that the renewal would be allowed on “as and when available basis” for a period of five years.

ECC approves continuation of subsidy on five essential items through Utility Stores Published On ECC forms committee to review OMCs’ margins on petroleum products ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved continuation of subsidy on five essential items through Utility Stores Corporation till the end of current fiscal year. The ECC, which met in Islamabad on Thursday with Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in the chair, also approved re-allocation of over 2.3 billion rupees for procurement and IT infrastructure for automation of stock management throughout the network of Utility Stores. It may be added that the subsidy is being given on five essential items out of funds allocated under Prime Minister s Relief Package-2020 in the backdrop of COVID-19 pandemic.

The National Price Monitoring Committee (NPMC) on Monday reviewed prices of essential food items. APP/File ISLAMABAD: The National Price Monitoring Committee (NPMC) on Monday reviewed prices of essential food items and directed departments concerned to continue reviewing rates to ensure availability of cheaper products for end consumers. The NPMC meeting chaired by Finance Minister Dr Hafeez Shaikh also directed the Ministry of Industries (MoI) to ensure the price decline of goods in the international market is passed on to end consumers. Federal Minister for Industries Hammad Azhar, Special Assistant on Revenue Dr Waqar Masood and provincial chief secretaries among others attended the meeting.
