The Petroleum Division has taken another U-turn in the new draft of the LPG Policy 2021, as it proposed local LPG price of around $80 over the international price.
This means that LPG importers will be able to charge $80 above CP price. Saudi Aramco sets its propane term contract price, which is then followed by Pakistan.

The government is likely to set up Pakistan Logistic Company to regulate the business of logistics under the National Freight and Logistics Policy (NFLP) of Pakistan.
The Cabinet Committee on Transport and Logistics (CCoTL) had considered setting up a logistics company and formed a committee under the chairmanship of special assistant to the prime minister on maritime affairs to deliberate on the viability of establishment of Pakistan Logistic Company. A report in this regard may be submitted to the CCoTL for consideration.

Headwinds, policy confusions subverting Russian gas line project

ISLAMABAD: The fate of country’s strategic project, Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline (PSGP), also known as North South Gas Pipeline, is in the doldrums as the Petroleum Division has started finalizing alternate gas pipeline project by mid-July putting the ties with Russia, which have improved a lot in recent years, in jeopardy.
Pakistan and the Russian Federation signed the amended Inter Governmental Agreement (IGA) on May 28, 2021 in Moscow on Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline Project (PSGP), now both the countries have to sign the share-holders Agreement (SHA) within 60 days from the signing of the protocol scheduled for July 27, 2021.
