More than $2.1 million in federal funding will support innovation ecosystems in Saskatchewan
SASKATOON, SK, Aug. 3, 2021 /CNW/ - The Government of Canada is providing support to business ecosystems in Saskatchewan through targeted investments that build on regional strengths, encourage innovation, and support underrepresented groups. This support will encourage growth, productivity, and competitiveness of the western Canadian economy.

Through Western Economic Diversification Canada, the Government of Canada is supporting not-for-profits, Indigenous organizations, industry associations, and post-secondary educational institutions that are creating the entrepreneurial and supportive environment to help grow economic sectors and communities across Saskatchewan.

VON reported that the Nigerian government is set to carryout airborne Geological Survey across 17 States to facilitate accurate location of mineral resources in the Country. Nigeria’s National Steel Raw Materials Exploration Agency Director General Dr Umar Albarka Hassan said the Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification project, which is a world Bank assisted project under the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, will embark on AGS in 112 local government areas across Niger State and 17 other States in the country. He said “The project would stimulate investment leading to increased economic activities in the respective states to be surveyed as desired by President Muhammadu Buhari.”
