Russia s economy to reach pre-Covid-19 level in Q3 2021, attain steady growth of 3% by end of year - Reshetnikov
MOSCOW. April 22 (Interfax) - Russia s Economic Development Ministry expects the country s economy to reach the pre-Covid-19 level in the third quarter of this year, and to attain a steady growth rate of 3% by the end of the year. Overall, we expect the economy to reach what is called the pre-Covid-19 level in the third quarter, and we should enter a trajectory of steady growth at a rate of at least 3% by the end of the year, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said during a conference of the Association of European Businesses.

Shokhin: goal of Russian GDP growth higher than global in 2021 hardly relevant, many countries already emerging from Covid crisis
MOSCOW. April 8 (Interfax) - The goal of achieving a rate of Russian GDP growth higher than the global average in 2021 is already irrelevant; a more appropriate task is to attain an economic growth rate no lower than 3% per year, head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Alexander Shokhin said. Hardly, I think, Shokhin told reporters when asked whether the goal set by the president of reaching a GDP growth rate higher than the global average in 2021 could be expected to be achieved. The Economic Development Ministry is now correcting down its forecasts, he said.
