    That was the vision set out this week by Economy Minister Diane Dodds at a virtual stakeholder event where she discussed her Department’s Economic Recovery Action Plan.     The Minister’s ambitious plan was launched in February as a blueprint to rebuilding the economy after the impact of Covid-19. It contains 147 actions across four key themes – a greener economy, R&D and innovation, a highly skilled and agile workforce, and investment, trade and exports. Voucher Scheme Set For Northern Ireland As Republic s Stay And Spend Closes

As Northern Ireland is set to launch a high street voucher scheme by the end of the summer, Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe has confirmed that the Republic’s stay and spend tax incentive has closed. In September, the Government unveiled the stay and spend scheme in the hopes to boost spending in the hospitality sector over the off-season. People were able to claim back 20% from their bill from a hospitality business in an income tax rebate. As Northern Ireland is set to launch a high street voucher scheme by the end of the summer, Finance Paschal Donohoe has confirmed that the Republic’s stay and spend tax incentive has closed.
