The pop-up, curated by rapper T.I. will be around for the next 6 months and will honor Dade natives Rick Ross and City Girls. The museum is located at the corner of NW Second Avenue and Tenth Street, features trap-influenced art pieces featuring the godfathers of the genre: T.I., Jeezy, and Gucci Mane. While the original Trap Music Museum in Atlanta is known for its interactive activations, the Miami pop-up is more limited, owing to the pandemic. Face masks are mandatory, and each visitor must sign a waiver and undergo a temperature check before entering.

After 2 years of operating and taking the museum on wheels across the country, it has now installed a 6-month activation called, “Lil Trap House” in the Overtown neighborhood of Miami, FL. Spearheaded by TMM co-founder, William “Bam” Sparks, and TMM General Manager, Krystal Garner, “Miami’s Lil Trap House” pop-up features exhibits that showcase the city’s eccentric trap culture. From native trailblazers such as Rick Ross and City Girls, Miami’s latest addition is a must-see over the next six months. In addition, TMM has partnered with the Historic Overtown area to further the mission of uplifting the community and businesses of Miami, Overtown.
