Republican lawmakers in Madison introduced a bill Monday that would require Wisconsin prisoners to spend their COVID-19 stimulus dollars on restitution.
The Rhodes Scholarship, established in 1903 by Cecil Rhodes, remains one of the oldest and most prestigious international graduate scholarship programs in the world. Around one hundred recipients are selected every year.

Joe Elsinger feels fortunate to have worked on a variety of meaningful projects in his career as a civil engineer including projects like building a concrete bridge in West Africa.
But when a derecho hit the Midwest this summer, he turned his focus to the devastation in his own backyard and on helping here at home.

“I have always been passionate about physics and mathematics, and mechanical engineering gave me an opportunity to study these subjects in depth,” Jerotich said. “I enjoy coming up with new ideas and using my creativity to design and build stuff in order to solve problems using my engineering skills.”
