Pokemon Master Journeys: The Series Announced
Pokemon anime will continue outside of Japan as Pokemon Master Journeys: The Series. The Pokemon Company announced that the 24th season of the long-running Pokemon anime would be titled
Pokemon Master Journeys: The Series. Although no release date or platform was provided, The Pokemon Company confirmed that new episodes would premiere in select markets this summer, and more premieres would be coming to other markets through the end of 2021. The new season will include the Suicune arc, Ash rounding out his Pokemon team with a Galar fossil Pokemon, and even Ash s upcoming reunion with his old Pokemon.
Pokemon Reference Mistaken as PewDiePie Easter Egg
Did the
Pokemon Journeys anime recently reference Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg? On Reddit, Twitter, and elsewhere, PewDiePie fans believe they discovered that Ash Ketchum is a fan and one of the many subscribers of PewDiePie due to a t-shirt he wears during the anime. However, while this t-shirt has been mistaken as PewDiePie s signature brofist, it s actually the logo of the fighting-type gym in the anime.
The episode and the discovery of the easter egg aren t new, but this week the theory resurfaced online and began to make the rounds. Of course, it was quickly debunked, but not before it spread all over again.

✖
Pokemon Sword and Shield s Fire-type starter Scorbunny will be the next plush released as part of Build-a-Bear s Pokemon collection! At this time, a US release has not been officially announced, but Scorbunny will be available online May 6th at 3 p.m. in the UK. There will be an online only bundle that includes a Fire cape, a Sleeper, and a 5-in-1 sound option. Given the high-demand that a lot of Pokemon Build-a-Bear plushes have seen, fans might want to be ready to go as soon as this one is available! Scorbunny will be the first Galar Pokemon offered by Build-a-Bear, and it s unclear if the other two starters will arrive next.
The project was helmed by first-time director Manabu Kamikita. What’s interesting about the director is that he has no prior credits for any other work in the anime industry.
Artist Takayuki Noguchi (Queen’s Blade, Rail Romanesque, Tenshi no 3P!) was the animation character designer, with the original character designs credited to booota. Writer Hitomi Mieno (3D Girlfriend, Assassins Pride, Noragami, Pokemon Journeys), who also goes by the alias Deko Akao, wrote the series composition.
The Japanese voice cast include:
Kazuyuki Okitsu as Yoshida
Hisako Kanemoto as Airi Gotō
Kaori Ishihara as Yuzuha Mishima
Yūsuke Kobayashi as Hashimoto
New Pokemon Synopsis Details Gary Oak s Comeback
✖
Gary Oak is the son of Professor Oak, who made his first appearance during the first episode of
Pokemon s anime. Unlike Ash who chooses Pikachu as his starter when the series began decades ago, Gary decided to go with a Squirtle which he was quickly able to evolve into a Blastoise, making him quite the competitor when it came to Pokemon battles. It s been quite some time since last we saw Gary appear, so it will definitely be interesting to see how he has evolved over the course of the story and what Pokemon he has added to his roster for a potential brawl against Ash.
