Commuters have more parking to choose from at Craigieburn station.
A new 745 space carpark has opened at the station, boosting the total number of spaces to over 1200.
Yuroke MP Ros Spence said the new car park would benefit the whole community.
“People wanting to drive to Craigieburn station will now spend less time looking for a parking space and are less likely to need to park on surrounding streets,” Ms Spence said.
The upgrade includes a new footpath, connecting the car park to the station, and additional lighting and CCTV, to make it safer for people at all hours of the day and night.

Media statement: two likely positive cases of COVID-19 in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
It comes after the Health Department on Friday admitted it listed the wrong supermarket as an exposure site during an outbreak earlier this month.
People had been warned of potential exposure at Woolworths in Epping a fortnight ago after a Victorian man contracted coronavirus in Adelaide s hotel quarantine.
Government data shows 49 per cent of commuters either did not wear a mask or wore it incorrectly on trains. This was the same for 46 per cent of commuters on trams.
Compliance rates plummeted in April compared with March, when 32 per cent of commuters dodged mask rules on trains and 24 per cent of commuters on trams.
Officers will first adopt what police describes as an âeducative approachâ by offering a mask to those not wearing one, but people who reject it without a valid reason will be liable for a $200 fine.
The blitz will start on May 24 and finish on June 6.
