Police continue to investigate a fatal crash that occured near Hearst earlier this week, involving a single commercial motor vehicle.
On Feb. 13, at 7:09 a.m., members of the James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the crash on Highway 11, west of Hearst in Kohler Township.

According to the OPP, the investigation has revealed the vehicle was travelling westbound on Highway 11 when it crossed the roadway into the eastbound ditch and collided with a rock cliff.

One person is dead in a crash that occurred shortly after midnight Monday on Highway 69 in the city.
Sudbury OPP said members responded at 12:09 a.m. to a two-vehicle collision involving an SUV and a transport north of Estaire Road.

“Preliminary investigation indicated that the SUV was travelling southbound on Highway 69 and collided with a northbound commercial motor vehicle,” the OPP said.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the driver of the tractor-trailer did not receive any injuries.
Incident occurred near Kap on Wednesday afternoon

The Ontario Provincial Police are continuing to investe a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred northwest of Kapuskasing Wednesday afternoon.
On Dec. 9, shortly after 2 p.m., members of the James Bay Detachments (Kapuskasing) of the OPP were called to the scene of the crash on Waxatike Road in McCowan Township.

The driver of the vehicle, Gordon Breau, 48, from Hearst was pronounced deceased at the scene.
