The Municipal District (MD) of Willow Creek’s new community peace officers (CPOs) say a big focus in Nanton is enforcing the Traffic Safety Act.
Ryan Rasmussen and Tyson Lommerts, who both started working for the MD a few months ago, introduced themselves to Nanton’s council at the start of the Feb. 1 meeting. Under a contract, the MD’s CPOs provide 30 hours of service per week to the Town of Nanton.

Rasmussen previously worked as the Town of Claresholm’s CPO for a year and a half. He’s also worked a variety of other jobs, from cattle handling to construction.
