Kuwait City: The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior has carried out a strict traffic and security campaign to prosecute reckless drivers and other violators of traffic laws, Al Jarida reported. The campaign could result in the possible deportation of 9 expats under the charge of driving without a licence. Additionally, around 30,000 traffic tickets were issued, 12 cars and motorcycles were seized, and 19 violators were referred to detention centres.
An official at the Public Relations and Traffic Awareness Department at the General Traffic Department, Abdullah Bu Hassan, said that based on weekly statistics, Hawalli Traffic Department ranked the highest in terms of violations registered, with around 6,071 traffic tickets issued.

Doha: The General Directorate of Traffic, represented by the Traffic Awareness Department, recently held a lecture for bikers working in the field of delivery orders.
Lieutenant Meshaal Ali Al Ghadhedh, the Traffic Awareness Officer, delivered the lecture in the presence of about 25 bikers from orders delivery companies.
The General Directorate of Traffic confirmed that the awareness lectures come within the framework of an annual plan presented every month for this category encouraging cyclists to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to protect their lives and the lives of other road users by avoiding wrong traffic behaviours.

Doha: Officials from the Traffic Awareness Department at the General Directorate of Traffic visited outlets for renting desert buggies and monitored the activities of dune bashing to educate riders and children about safety rules.
Awareness competitions were organised to spread the culture of traffic safety and gifts were distributed to the contestants.
This was part of the awareness campaign launched by the General Traffic Department on the occasion of the camping season under the slogan ‘I walk safely’ for the year 2020-21.

Doha: The measures taken to address the serious issue of traffic accidents in the Sealine area have so far been successful. Traffic Police patrols, Al Fazaa and others have succeeded in controlling traffic violations and reckless driving in the area, senior official at the General Directorate of Traffic said.
“The measures carried out by the committee in charge of Sealine have been successful so far but the challenge is still present as the camping season has yet not ended. It will continue until end of March,” Colonel Jaber Mohamed Rashid Odaiba, Assistant Director of the Media and Traffic Awareness Department at the General Directorate of Traffic said.
