Botswana Football Association (BFA) has denied ownership and knowledge of the Botswana Football League (BFL) and FA cup draft fixtures which have been trending on social media.
Over the weekend, Facebook was awash with what was said to be draft fixtures for games to resume this month.
The BFA Competitions Manager Setete Phuthego said while it has been public knowledge that the association intends to resume this month, they have nothing to do with the leaked fixtures.
He says the BFA cannot claim ownership of the fixtures circulating on social media as they are not aware of the source and the information.

GABORONE, Botswana, February 18, 2020/ The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has vehemently denied damning social media reports claiming harassment of national team players currently on camp, racism and maladministration.
In light of the recent allegations, the BFA CEO, Thabiso Kebotsamang has categorically dispelled the circulating media reports as fabrications. Kebotsamang has assured all football stakeholders that everything is in order within the national team camp, with players and coach amicably working together as they prepare to lift the country’s flag high by yearning for six-points at the upcoming 2022 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers between Zimbabwe and Algeria next month (March).

The transfer business among clubs that was opened the beginning of last year December has finally been closed this past Friday.
With an anticipation of the return of action this year when the transfer window opened, it seems now it was not really worth it after all, said Kagiso Kgaogano, football analyst.
“Even though it was a slow transfer unlike the previous ones, a good number of teams have participated in this business. The only problem is that it ends without a league and clubs will never know if they made the right decision or not in their pick due to no play,” he said.
