On October 7, last year the Bombay High Court had granted bail to the actress and directed her to deposit a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. It had however rejected the bail plea her brother Showik Chakraborty, who is also an accused in the case, and an alleged drug peddler Abdel Basit Parihar.
The Narcotics Control Bureau has moved the Supreme Court challenging the Bombay High Court order granting bail to Rhea Chakraborty in cases registered against her under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act).

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Monday moved to the Supreme Court against Bombay High Court s order granting bail to actress Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested in the drugs case related to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
SC will hear NCB s plea against grant of bail on March 18.
