The Anti-Narcotics Department of the Sharjah Police (SP) arrested a gang of nine persons, who were attempting to sell more than a million “Zinex” tablets, worth over Dhs15m, in the country.
Lieutenant Colonel Majid Al Asam, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department of SP, confirmed that the police had received information of the gang who had brought in huge quantities of narcotic pills to distribute to a group of promoters in less than 24 hours.

Acting on a tip-off received by the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Sharjah Police General Directorate, a sting operation was carried out to arrest a gang of 9 Asians for smuggling over a million pills of Xanax drugs into the country.
The seized drugs are worth more than Dhs15 million.
Lieutenant Colonel Majid Al Asam, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department, revealed that after investigating the tip-off and identifying the gang members, a police team was formed to successfully place the arrest in less than 12 hours.
