MADHYA PRADESH: Donating books to help children study and let clean environment flourish is the guiding theme of Bhopal Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Kitab Ghar initiative. Launched in 2019, the initiative has already seen residents of Bhopal donate over one lakh used books and magazines. The reading material has either been kept for studying at libraries of the BMC across Bhopal or recycled into new notebooks before being distributed among children of government schools, who cannot afford to buy new notebooks.

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the provision of food, clothing and shelter, education, medicine and employment is the vision of urban development. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the state level programme of Mission Nagarodaya. He distributed benefits under various beneficiary oriented schemes costing Rs. 3,112 crore 81 lakh and performed bhoomi-poojan and dedication of urban infrastructure. This programme was held in all 407 urban bodies of the state.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], February 28 (ANI): An illegally constructed commercial complex was demolished using controlled implosion in Madhya Pradesh s Bhopal city on Saturday, an official said.
Additional District Magistrate of Bhopal, Dileep Yadav told ANI, We received a complaint from district Registrar that society allocation wasn t following order of preference. The action was taken accordingly.
The building was constructed on the land, which was sold to two persons without the approval of directors of the society, the official said.
The building was constructed on around 3,000 square feet area, said explosive specialist, Mahesh Patidar.
