Donna Lynn Dingess Baker passed away on December 7, 2020 due to complications from a heart attack. She was a devoted wife to Bud; sister to Lan; mother to Maggie, McKenzie and Boyd; grandmother to Deacon, Keely, and Tobias; aunt and cousin to others, and a loyal friend to many. Born in Bluefield, WV, she was raised in Johnson City, TN. The Dingess family was devoted members of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church where Donna played the piano for several of the churchâs choirs.
She was a classically trained pianist, master bridge player, avid reader, lover of animals, and enthusiastic fan of Alabama football. Music was always playing in her home and often she would sing along as only she could. Her favorites went beyond classical to David Phelps, Josh Groban, and Home Free.
Man Out On Bond For Murder Of UTC Student Is Charged In Another Killing Wednesday, December 9, 2020
Terrence Dewayne Lewis
Terrence Lewis, who was already charged with the murder of UTC student Evan Thad Derry, has now been arrested for killing Randy Williams on Dec. 2.
The 29-year-old Williams died from an apparent gunshot wound.
At approximately 1:29 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 3139 Lightfoot Mill Road on a report of a DOA.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim deceased and secured the scene. Investigators with the Violent Crimes Bureau responded to conduct an investigation.
Lewis was out on bond while awaiting trial in the murder of the 20-year-old UTC student on N. Bishop Drive.
