The Porcupine Health Unit region is currently up to 191 cases since the first case in March 2020.
Two new cases were added today in the Hearst, Hornepayne area and two yesterday in the Kapuskasing, Opasatika, Val Rita-Harty, Moonbeam, Fauquier-Strickland area.

All are in self-isolation in their communities.
While 161 have been resolved there are currently 30 active cases: 18 cases self-isolation in Kapuskasing, Opasatika, Val Rita-Harty, Moonbeam, Fauquier-Strickland, 11 in the Hearst Hornpayne area and a single case in Timmins.
Public health will notify all close contacts directly. If you are not contacted by public health, you are not considered a close contact. Regardless of an announcement of a case, everyone is reminded to stay home if they have symptoms and get tested.
Each of the public health units in northern Ontario shared information with the Ministry of Health prior to its decision to extend the lockdown a further two weeks. Representatives provided provincial officials with their respective public health capacity, and 'local flavour.'
