Slovakian Prime Minister Igor Matovic confirmed his COVID-19 diagnosis on Friday - a day after French President Emmanuel Macron also revealed he had contracted the disease. Emmanuel Macron is in a stable condition , his doctor said in a statement two days after the French President tested positive for COVID-19.
The French leader still presents symptoms of the virus, including fatigue, cough and body aches, the statement said, but those are not stopping him from fulfilling his duties.
Clinical examinations are carried out on a regular basis and results are reassuring , said Jean-Christophe Perrochon, Chief Doctor of the French Presidency.
The French president is currently quarantining at La Lanterne, an official residence in Versailles, where he will stay for seven days and work remotely.
His officials have declined to comment on any treatment he is receiving.

Brussels, Dec 18 : A host of European leaders were self-quaranting after coming in contact with French President Emmanuel Macron who has tested positive the novel coronavirus.
In a statement on Thursday, the Elysee Palace confirmed the 42-year-old President’s positive result, saying that he “will isolate himself for seven days” but “will continue to work and carry out his activities remotely”, Xinhua news agency reported.
Macron attended a European Union (EU) summit in Brussels last week and an event organised by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris on Monday.
