Fortnite x Street Fighter crossover expands with two new character skins
Back in February, Epic Games released two skins based on the characters Ryu and Chun Li in its hit battle royale game
Fortnite. The company has expanded this crossover with another two characters from the hit game franchise, this time adding Guile and Cammy. The two new skins will be available in the game’s Item Shop soon, but the images of them are already live.
The two skins are faithful recreations of the
Street Fighter characters, including Guiles’ ridiculously long high-top haircut. Cammy, meanwhile, sports her long braids and red hat. Both skins have a variant that decks them out in their own versions of tactical gear.
Fortnite has already been graced by a couple of characters from the Street Fighter world. Why not add a few more? The Street Fighter 5 Summer Update 2021 stream briefly took a side step from news about Capcom s fighter and jumped into the world of Epic s battle royale shooter to announce that the franchise s two top soldiers, Guile and Cammy, are jumping into the fray.
Both Guile and Cammy will be available on the Fortnite Item Shop starting this
Saturday, August 7 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET. Both characters will be available with their classic Street Fighter looks, but they ll also have a few variant outfits available. Guile will have a Glistening Guile outfit and K.O. Back Bling, while Cammy will have a Tactical Cammy variant and Borealis Backer Back Bling. All outfits and Back Blings will be included in the Cammy & Guile Bundle.
Ryu and Chun-Li won’t be the only
Street Fighter characters in
Fortnite for much longer. Capcom announced today that two more fighters, Guile and Cammy, will be headed to the battle royale.
The pair will hit the
Fortnite Item Shop on Aug. 7 at 8 p.m. ET. Much like Ryu and Chun-Li, both characters get some extras alongside their in-game skins. Guile gets a K.O. Back Bling and a beach-ready Glistening Guile Variant. The showcase also showed an emote of Guile doing his Flash Kick, followed by a comb of his luscious, gravity-defying locks.
The Cammy Outfit, meanwhile, has a Borealis Backer Back Bling and a Tactical Cammy Variant. They also showed off her own emote, which features her back-turned win pose. I’m a little bummed that Cammy’s Variant isn’t a Decapre alt or anything, but it’s still cool to see one of my earliest
