Portland Trail Blazers Anfernee Simons Will Compete In Dunk Contest

Jaime Valdez-USA TODAY Sports It seems the “Let Ant Dunk” campaign has found success: young Portland Trail Blazers’ guard Anfernee Simons will reportedly participate in the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk competition during halftime of the All-Star game on March 7th, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN Sports. Two young players expected to join New York s Obi Toppin in the All-Star Slam Dunk competition on March 7: Portland s Anfernee Simons and Indiana s Cassius Stanley, sources tell ESPN. Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) February 28, 2021 Simons is known among the Rip City faithful and beyond for his vertical, but this is the first time he will get to showcase just his hops versus the other aspects of his game. Simons does not dunk often, but when he does, it is usually remarkable. We look forward to seeing his performance.
