A Delta passenger who slid out of a moving plane with his dog says ‘I have panic attacks’
As a Delta Air Lines plane taxied to the runway at LaGuardia Airport on Monday, a flight attendant saw a man and woman walking through the aisle.
“I need to get off the plane. I don’t want to sit here. I’m gonna pop the door,” the flight attendant paraphrased him as saying.
The man felt he needed to leave or he would lose control, according to statements from a Tuesday arraignment hearing. He then pushed past the crew member, opened a cabin door and slid down the emergency slide with another passenger and their dog.

NEW YORK A Florida couple that was scheduled to travel Monday from New York to Atlanta along with their Great Dane forced an hourslong delay instead after they broke through the cabin door of a Delta aircraft and slid down the inflatable slide as the plane began taxiing toward the runaway, authorities said.
Antonio Murdock, 31, and Brianna Greco, 23, were arrested following the incident at LaGuardia Airport, according to multiple reports. A passenger on Delta flight 462 told The New York Times that Murdock and Greco had moved from one seat to another before Murdock told a flight attendant that he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and would freak out if he sat down, the newspaper reported.

NJ Transit is expected to receive the $1.25 billion it requested from a second round of federal coronavirus stimulus funding, but the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey appears to be left out in the cold.
The second $900 billion CARES act bill, which is still awaiting President Donald Trump’s signature, was passed by Congress. The funding makes up for lost revenue due to ridership declines caused by the coronavirus. Trump tweeted a video Tuesday night calling for changes to the bill and suggesting he might not sign the legislation. The final text of the bill is not expected to be sent to Trump for his signature before Thursday or Friday.
