A Gqeberha man was found guilty in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Thursday of a gang-related triple murder and attempted murder.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Anelisa Ngcakani said Neaven Demingo, 23, had also been convicted on two charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
On April 30 2019, Demingo and another man approached Austin Carlo Tembula, Fernando Oswald Ashia and a third man, who is not being named to protect his identity, near an electric substation in Hibiscus Street, Bethelsdorp.
After 11 years of testimony, numerous postponements and a mountain of evidence, judgment in the protracted murder trial of German nationals Jens Leunberg and Kristina Adler eventually kicked off in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Thursday.

Convicted murderer Sizwe Jika, who is already serving life in prison, , is expected back in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Friday on charges linked to another murder.
Jika, 29, is accused of murdering Ann Ferreira, 83, whose body was found in the kitchen of her Kuruman Kloof Road home in Summerstrand.

Closing arguments in the trial of mother-and-daughter murder accused Christine and Chantell Russouw are due to start on Wednesday, after the defence called its final witness on Tuesday.
