The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday said it arrested the leader of a syndicate selling and buying human organs for trafficking to foreigners.
The Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the commission said the suspect, Ukaeje John Emeka, also known as ‘Dr. Phil Mark, ‘Dr. Donald Phillip, and ‘Dr. Wesley David was arrested based on established intelligence on his suspicious fraudulent internet dealings.
He was arrested on April 16, 2021, at Rumukparali, Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
A statement signed by the agency said preliminary investigations showed that the suspect was leading a syndicate of fraudsters falsely presenting themselves as medical doctors, with a human organ bank, particularly kidneys for sale and purchase.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Port Harcourt Zonal Office, has arrested the leader of a syndicate involved in the buying and selling of human organs for trafficking to foreigners.
The leader identified as Ukaeje John Emeka (alias Dr. Phil Mark, Dr. Donald Phillip, Dr. Wesley David), was arrested on April 16, 2021, at Rumukparali, Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
He was arrested by operatives of the Commission based on established intelligence on his suspicious fraudulent internet dealings.
According to a statement on the Commission’s website, “Preliminary investigations by the EFCC showed that the suspect is leading a syndicate of fraudsters falsely presenting themselves as medical doctors, with a human organ bank, particularly kidneys for sale and purchase.

Operatives of the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested eleven persons suspected to be internet fraudsters in Rivers State.
The suspects were arrested on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, during a sting operation by men of the commission covering Rivers and Bayelsa States.
The suspects are Eliot Chuku; Oghenero Tega; Pamkim James; Jeremiah Agbani; Frank Freeman; George Naomi; Joshua Patrick; Francis Paul; Bernard Peter, Akarolo Chimeganum and Precious Ebi. They were arrested in four locations in Bayelsa State: Queens Estate; Mike Okporkpor; Kpansia and Yenagoa and Unity Estate in Rivers State.
He stated this while addressing staff of the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the EFCC on Thursday.
According to him, the task of combating economic and financial crimes requires that extant laws are enforced as they should and for staff of the Commission to do this, they must adhere to the core values of the EFCC.
“Leaders of the EFCC should enforce the laws the way they are expected to be enforced. If you cross the line, the EFCC will investigate you and take you to court.
“But above all, we must do this with “courage, integrity and professionalism which are the core values of the Commission and these are the values we should maintain.
