The list below includes some of the offenders that were put behind bars by judges last month. While all of the criminals committed offences in Dorset, some of the cases were heard in courts outside of the county. The offenders names and a summary of what led to them appearing in the dock are as follows: Weymouth man groomed underage girl - and continued to see and message victim despite being on bail Matthew Lucas Cheshire, aged 21 and of Ranelagh Road in Weymouth, admitted three offences of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and a charge of sexual activity with a child at Bournemouth Crown Court.

The victim, who was 11 at the time of the incident, was with her 14-year-old friend and they had spent the evening walking around Portland. At around 1.30am on Saturday, August 31, 2019 they were in the area of Easton Square when they met a man who was sitting on a bicycle. They walked with him to an old windmill to the south of Park Road, where they chatted for a time before the victim’s friend went outside. Once he was alone with the victim, Loveman sexually assaulted her and then raped her before riding off on his bike in the direction of Weston.

Burglar stole Pappy Van Winkle whiskey from Bournemouth bar

Paul Richard Flawn, inset, burgled Smokin’ Aces in Commercial Road, Bournemouth, in October A BURGLAR who claimed he did not know the high value of two limited edition bottles of whiskey that he stole from a Bournemouth bar has been jailed. Paul Richard Flawn said he did not specifically take the 23-year-old Pappy Van Winkle bottles, worth a combined £4,000, from Smokin’ Aces in Commercial Road. Judge Robert Pawson told Flawn, 52 and of Bath Road, Bournemouth, whether he knew the alcohol’s commodity or not, he still burgled the premises and stole the whiskey along with a case of Bacardi, a bicycle, two camera lenses, Beats headphones, a pair of trainers and tools.

Man accused of Bournemouth store robberies appears in court

A man has appeared in court in relation to alleged robberies at three Bournemouth stores. Picture: Google Maps/ Street View A MAN has appeared in court in relation to three alleged robberies in Bournemouth. Darren Philip Brooks is accused of committing the offences between December 15 and December 21 at three businesses. Brooks, aged 51 and of West Overcliff Drive, Bournemouth, appeared at Poole Magistrates Court on December 24. Prosecutors allege that Brooks robbed around £600 in cash from McColls in Commercial Road, Bournemouth. Three days later, the defendant is accused of targeting Smiggle in Old Christchurch Road and taking £80. On December 21, it is alleged that Brooks robbed Central Stores in Seamoor Road, Westbourne, of a cash till.
