NEW DELHI: India and Bangladesh held home secretary-level talks via virtual mode on Saturday, during which they reaffirmed not to allow the territory of either country to be used for any activity inimical to each other’s interests.
At the 19th home secretary-level talks held in the backdrop of ‘Mujib Barsho’ and 50 years of Bangladesh liberation war and establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, Indian home secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Mostafa Kamal Uddin, senior secretary, public security division in the ministry of home affairs of Bangladesh, reiterated their commitment to further expand and strengthen mutual cooperation in security and border-related issues.
New Delhi [India], February 27 (ANI): Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bangladesh scheduled next month, both countries agreed to enhance the level of cooperation to prevent smuggling of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) and contraband across borders during the 19th Home Secretary Level Talks (HSLT) on Saturday.
