This weekend (Sat., May 1, 2021), Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will return to UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, for UFC Vegas 25. After a brief jaunt to Jacksonville, Fla., for UFC 261 one of the most absolutely ridiculous MMA events of all time in my humble opinion we are heading back to a more standard night of action inside the Apex. Fortunately, that doesn’t mean it won’t be a fun show, as the main event between Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka promises fireworks, and the rest of the card is lots of fun.

Does anyone want to tell me why the UFC thinks Poliana Botelho and Luana Carolina is the best fight to feature on the prelims this weekend at UFC Vegas 25? I’ll admit both are physically gifted strikers, but they’re also exceptionally unrefined and their showings in the UFC don’t exactly indicate their going to be major players. To be fair, I’ll admit none of the other contests seem to have anyone who have indicated they’re going to future stars either, but why not Luana Pinheiro? Rose Namajunas is once again the UFC women s strawweight champion with a first-round knockout win over Zhang Weili in the co-main event of UFC 261 from VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
One well-timed head kick was all it took for Namajunas to put the champion down and reclaim her belt.
Zhang was left stunned by what happened, arguing to the ref about the finish despite wobbling on her feet even after the fight.
