Liberia: Man Dies from Electrocution at Guest House in Ganta

GANTA, Nimba County An accident at the Sam Kollie Guest House in Ganta, Nimba County on Monday evening reportedly left a 26-year-old man dead and caused police to ask guests to leave.
Morris Duapah, a father of three and employee of the Guest House, died from electrocution as a result of the incident that occurred around 10:00 pm.
Police said Duapah had gone to prepare hot water for customers on his return from the kitchen he stepped on a wire, causing him to be electrocuted.

Ganta – Police In Ganta have arrested and charged a 40-year-old Filipino national for rape, sexual harassment and offensive touching.
Suspect Michael Laraya, 38, was charged Wednesday, February 3 after reportedly attempting to sodomize a 20-year-old motorcyclist at the Angel Hill Top Guest House in the Guinea Road community in Ganta.

GANTA, Feb. 4 – Police in Ganta, Nimba County have arrested, charged and sent to court a 40-year old Filipino for allegedly attempting to sodomize a 22-year old Liberian motorcyclist.
Michael Maraha was arrested on Tuesday, February 2, and taken to the Ganta Police depot following a tussle between him and 22 year old Spencer Zuo who complained that Michael attempted sodomizing him in his hotel room.
Making the disclosure to newsmen on Tuesday, LNP Ganta Detail Deputy Commander, EO Dellin Fayiah, said the accused during police preliminary investigation admitted committing the act and said, it is his way of life.
