1 person hospitalized, another in custody after Brooklyn Park stabbing
An investigation is underway.
Police in Brooklyn Park are investigating an altercation that led to a stabbing over the weekend.
It happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturday on the 5800 block of 73rd Ave N, a residential area of mostly apartments.
The victim was taken to the hospital, and though the extent of their injuries was not specified, they are expected to survive. At this time one individual is in custody in reference to this incident and further investigation is underway, the alert says.
No other details about the stabbing were released, and neither the victim nor the suspect has been identified yet.

Police in Brooklyn Park are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday evening.
According to Brooklyn Park Police, officers responded to the 5800 block of Brookdale Drive North at about 7:49 p.m. There, officers found the victim, who reported a person came into her business armed with a handgun and stole the cash register.
No injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
