A woman has been arrested by D.C. police for the false impersonation of an officer, failure to obey an officer and fleeing from a law enforcement officer at an Inauguration checkpoint. Police say 63-year-old Linda MaGovern, of Connecticut, approached the perimeter checkpoint at First and Columbus Circle NE on Saturday around 8:45 a.m. She was, according to the incident report, displaying a round metallic object later identified as a Military Police Challenge Coin and stated she was a law enforcement officer and a part of the presidential cabinet.
