PORTLAND, Maine (AP) Police in Maine s largest city said Thursday that two people have been indicted stemming from a 2012 triple shooting that resulted in the death of a man.
The July 2012 shooting killed Matthew Blanchard, 24, of South Portland. Police said he was walking with relatives in Portland when several gunshots were fired at them.
Blanchard was shot and killed, and two other people suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. Portland police said Thursday that an indictment was handed down by the Cumberland County grand jury charging Zachary Phach and Khang Tran with murder, aggravated attempted murder, elevated aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy in connection with the shootings.
