KLANG: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador will meet Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin to explain the transfer order involving senior police officers.
This comes as a message claiming that there was political interference involving a Cabinet minister in connection with the transfer of a police chief had gone viral recently.
He said his action in issuing the transfer order was based on the law that states that the command and control of the police force is under the purview of the IGP. I issued the transfer order involving senior police officers for the benefit of all and it is not an extraordinary occurrence.
