IPOH: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador Friday confirmed that an officer from the Penang Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) had indeed released the suspects involved in a Macau Scam.
“Investigations by Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (Jips) found there was such an offence. We are taking drastic action because this is clearly a betrayal of the trust placed on him,” he told reporters after attending the conferment of the pilot wing and the closing of the private pilot’s licence (PPL) course at the Police Air Wing Unit Training Base here Friday.
KUALA LUMPUR: The individual who was issued with a RM10,000 compound for violating the Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP), did not register his details at the restaurant he went to.
A report has gone viral showing the compound for an individual who failed to scan the MySejahtera application at a restaurant in Bukit Jalil on Thursday (March 11).
Subsequently, many on social media had claimed that the man had actually registered his details using other means.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon said the compliance operation task force performed an inspection at a restaurant in Bukit Jalil at 6.55pm on Thursday.
KUALA LUMPUR: A total 330 individuals have been issued compound notices of RM10,000 each to date for flouting the Movement Control Order (MCO) standar.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 Science and Technology Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said today that he has not revealed the identity of any of the whistleblowers who shared information about government officials who attempted to jump a priority list for Covid-19 vaccination under the first phase of the national immunisation programme.
He clarified that he has only used some of the information provided by whistleblowers to “correct” the priority list.
KUALA LUMPUR: Police will be stepping up checks and taking more stringent measures starting today to catch those trying to travel across state borders illegally.
