Summer seems a long way ahead with any holiday plans still uncertain as nations struggle to contain the Covid pandemic.
LoveHolidays is being forced to refund 44,000 customers more than £18million for trips cancelled during the pandemic, following an investigation by the competition watchdog.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said one of the UK s biggest online travel agents has agreed to give out-of-pocket customers their money back in full by next March at the latest.
The CMA was forced to intervene after receiving hundreds of complaints from customers who were left waiting for refunds after their trips were cancelled during the coronavirus outbreak.
Customers were told they would only be refunded for the flight once LoveHolidays had received the payment from the airline.

LoveHolidays has agreed to refund over £18m to 44,000 customers who had holidays cancelled over coronavirus.
It follows action by the Competition and Markets Authority, which received hundreds of complaints.
The regulator said that LoveHolidays had told customers asking for a refund on flights that they would only receive it when the firm received money back from the airlines.
LoveHolidays has now committed to repay customers in full by March 2021.
The CMA said it would allow the company that time in order for it to manage its financial position.
But it warned LoveHolidays: If the firm fails to repay customers by these dates, the CMA is prepared to take the company to court.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has been investigating LoveHolidays after receiving hundreds of complaints that people were still awaiting refunds.
When customers contacted LoveHolidays to request a refund for a cancelled holiday, they were told they would only receive money back for their flights once the firm had received refunds from the respective airlines.
Under the Package Travel Regulations, online travel agents are legally bound to refund customers for package holidays cancelled due to coronavirus, regardless of whether or not the agent has received money back from suppliers, for example airlines.
