A New York City school principal has apologized for sending around an anti-Israel email to staff from her school account but only after it prompted a furious backlash led by the head of the city school system.
Four hours after New York City Schools Chancellor Meisha Porter tweeted Saturday demanding an apology for the poor judgment , MS 136 Principal Amanda Bueno said sorry to staff in an email.
She wrote: As the Principal of a diverse school community who is committed to social justice causes and human rights concerns, I want to apologize for using school email to strongly communicate my personal views and not being as inclusive and mindful of other perspectives as I could have been.
